Westgate Mall to Host Adult Winter Clothing Drive for Local Charity, Support the Soupman

October Donation Drive to Provide Essential Items for the Homeless

BROCKTON, MASSACHUSETTS (September 2020) – Westgate Mall (ShopatWestgateMall.com) will host a month-long donation drive in October to gather much needed winter wear for the homeless in partnership with the local charity, Support the Soupman. Items needed include new adult size jackets, boots, hats, and mittens/gloves. Donations can be left in the specially marked donation bin located near Burlington in the mall. Support the Soupman is a regional nonprofit with a mobile convoy of specially equipped vehicles that provide essential services for the homeless.

“Westgate Mall is pleased to be the host site for this vital winter wear donation drive,” says Rebekah Macchia, Marketing Director at Westgate Mall. “Support the Soupman is a regional nonprofit with deep roots in our area. We are pleased to be able to help collect donations of winter clothing items which will help those in need in Brockton and other communities,” she adds.

On November 1, 2020 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm we will use the items collected to Fill A Bus that is bound for Massachusetts hardest hit communities to distribute clothing, blankets, sleeping bags, boots, and essential toiletries. We look forward to seeing all the volunteers and staff of the Support the Soupman crew to celebrate this milestone.
