Showers, Hot Breakfast, and Clothing For the Homeless or Underhoused!

Thanks to the efforts of Mayor Sefatia Romeo Theken and the entire crew at We Are All In This Together, we were able to coordinate a day of helping Gloucester’s homeless.

Support the Soupman will travel to Boudreau Field in Gloucester and set up our mobile showers so that Gloucester’s homeless and underhoused can enjoy a hot shower, a meal (breakfast sandwiches and homefries) from Goombadis and purchased by the folks at We Are In This All Together, a fresh change of clothes, and a backpack full of essential toiletries (donated/purchased by Support the Soupman supporters) .

Cape Ann Travel Authority  has offered to pick up those who need transportation and will bring them to and from the event.

Support the Soupman has allocated 25K dollars toward the purchase of a Cape Ann shower that can travel throughout Gloucester, Beverly and Salem to help their homeless stay clean throughout the hot summer months. The City of Gloucester is going to help with the fundraising efforts to raise funds to match – so that the concept of a Cape Ann shower can become a reality.

If you are in the area, be sure to STOP BY and check this out and see how you can get involved with efforts to help our friends and neighbors in need.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
